🚫 Extra Parking for Kingfisher’s? Not So Fast
A rezoning request to turn R-1 property into parking for Kingfisher’s Seafood was recommended for denial. Neighbors raised concerns about noise, lighting, and drainage. The final call goes to the Fairhope City Council.
🦷 Orthodontist Office Approved at Encounter
The Harvey & Thomas Orthodontics site plan was approved within the Encounter development at Hwy. 181 & 104. Access will come via internal streets.
🌮 Casa Azul Gets Annexed
The site of the future Casa Azul restaurant at 18348 Greeno Rd. was officially annexed into the city. The property is zoned B-1.

Orange Beach approved a plan to replace Bubba’s Seafood with a 36-hole mini-golf course and a 2,100 sq ft ice cream shop. Five lots are being combined for the project.

A zoning text amendment was recommended that would:
- Exclude wetlands from density calculations
- Require 15 ft setbacks from wetlands
- Mandate wetland verification by the Army Corps of Engineers

To support future growth, a new water tank will be built near the high school. It’s a big step in infrastructure planning.
